hey guys!! as you probably know by now i amkind of addicted to clothes... although i generally only shop at thrift stores whereeverything is super cheap. i never buy things online because 1) i have no way to try iton before i buy it so i don't know how it's actually going to look on me, and 2) especiallyafter shipping it's generally always too expensive for me, anyway. but, i recently got a bunchof clothes from an online asian fashion website,
Cheap Wedding Party Shirts, called dresslink, and today i'm going to reviewthem for you! if you don't know much about these types ofwebsites, generally what they do is they take popular asian fashions and they create themreally cheaply, which is why you can buy a dress for like $5. that's not a scam--they'rejust really cheap clothes. although, with
what i got i would say the quality isn't reallythat different from what you see these days in young adult stores in the malls, like wetseal or forever 21. overall impressions before i show you theclothes was that most everything was to some degree see-through, so you either want tolayer it, or like me just wear a slip with everything. and because most of the clothesare made for east asian body frames i found that the waistline for most of what i gotis higher than my natural waistline, so instead of using the belt that they sent, i choseto wear my own thicker belt so that i could hide that waistline and bring it back downto where i want it to be. and, i had to pull all of the dresses on over my head becausethey would not fit over my hips. but, other
than that, everything fit really well, whichis something i was really worried about from buying online, and especially buying fromthese online asian fashion websites, because the number one thing i hear about them isthat they don't fit correctly because they're made for asian people/they're too small, orwhatever. but everything fit pretty well for me. they put the measurements for the clothesin centimeters and sometimes inches on the website, so if you haven't measured yourselfwith a measuring tape, you should do that because it will be very helpful. but in anycase, i will give you my measurements and the measurements for the clothes i boughtso you can see exactly how they perform according to what they're listed as. so let's get intoit! woo!
first i have this black and white dress, whichi absolutely love! it's very stretchy, flows really nicely, and overall is super comfortable.it fits perfectly in the bust but falls straight over my waist instead of cinching in, so ichose to wear it with a belt to keep the waistline. this is easily one of my favorites, if notmy favorite item i got. i love this dress because it's so bright andcheery! the waistline is elastic and fits perfectly, although i prefer thicker beltsso i'm using my own instead of the tie that it came with. the material on this is so thinand almost doesn't even feel like clothing fabric, but it's so incredibly light thati think it'll be great when it's really hot out. because of the material it's not veryflowy, but it's still one of my favorites.
the tights are actually supposed to be a gradientgoing from light to dark, and you can see the gradient when you're not wearing it, butas you can see it's kind of hard to tell when it's actually on my legs. the quality is perfectlyfine, though, and i like the color. these tights are another one of my favoritethings i got. the quality is really nice. the black part is really thick and isn't somethingthat's going to run. the nude portion on the top is just normal pantyhose quality. thereare a lot of different versions, including cat ones, but i got this kind that has a faketattoo on the side. it looks like i have tattoos on my legs! it's so cool and sexy and i lovethem and want to buy another pair. the crosses are different from the ones in the pictureon the website, but i still like them a lot.
this dress i absolutely had to order becauseit looked so adorable on the model. i was worried because the listed size is quite abit larger than me so i thought it might not fit around the waist, but it's actually thesmallest thing i got. the waist band doesn't stretch, so you're going to have to be somewhatflexible when trying to get it over your shoulders, and if you're more than an inch or two largerthan me you might not be able to get into it. the tutu part doesn't look as poofy asit does on the model, but it's so short that i have to wear something under it anyway,so when i get all my skirts back in japan i will definitely be adding an extra poofyskirt or two underneath to make it look more tutu-like. for today to get a bit of extrapoof i rolled up a skirt and put it around
my hips. the tights are one of three pairs from thesame brand that i ordered. the quality of the actual tights part is fine, they fit well,and they're long enough for me. this green dress looks just like it does onthe model, and it's one of the higher quality quality products i got. it's lined, and ifyou're wearing white or nude underwear then i don't think it's going to show through.again, i prefer using my own thicker belt so the waistline sits exactly where i wantit to. this wig is something i was so excited toget, because i've never had a wig before. i didn't care so much for the wavyness--ijust wanted something with bangs, but i actually
like the waves now. since i've never had awig i don't really know how to rate the quality. i think it's nice. although when i pull itapart to put it in pigtails, you can see the mesh in the back. i guess you're supposedto cut the bangs, but i have a thing for long bangs so i kinda like it how it is. here is a shirt i bought in two differentcolors. i love it so much and it's perfectly my style. it fits really well at my waistwhich is so unusual because i can never find button down shirts that are small enough forme. the fabric is thin but it's not see-through. both of them come with the same color ribbonthat you can tie around your neck. they even have extra buttons at the bust so you don'thave any gaping holes... but since it's made
for smaller asians, it actually needs onemore button on the bottom, because i still gape there. i'm going to have to add one myself.and the button holes still had thread running across them that i had to cut before i couldfit the buttons through. but these shirts are jun's favorite and one of my top picks.the tights with the navy shirt are another pair from that same brand i got! this white and green dress is another of thehigher quality items. it's also lined, but with the top being white it's still a bitsee-through. again with white or nude i think you'd be fine. the only thing i didn't likefrom the picture was the flower, but mine actually didn't come with that so it workedout for me. the white belt is too big for
my waist, and again the waistline is a bithigh, so i'm using my own belt. there's a lot of fabric with the skirt so it's reallybouncy and moves well. there are also a few threads that hang down on the skirt that ineed to cut off, though. the tights are the same brand as before! there are two different pieces here--a beigedress top and a green skirt. the dress is really see-through, so much so that you caneasily see where the fabric doubles up around the keyhole in the front. but i love the styleand it's one of my favorite pieces. it doesn't seem like it's on the website anymore, though,so i don't have any comparison pictures or sizing.
the skirt is one of jun's favorite thingsthat i got, although it isn't as flowy as i had hoped. it pretty much just sticks straightto my legs. it's lined but both layers are still pretty thin. i do really like the color,though! because i am a cleavagely challenged woman,i wanted to try this bra that's supposed to push your boobs together. but since i'm notgoing to show off my cleavage you'll have to just look at this comparison. it crushesmy ribs and lungs, but it works really well. i was a little worried about sizing and idecided to get the large, but it's actually the perfect size for me. it's well-made, andhonestly i kind of want to get the black one, too.
this shirt is a somewhat loose knit so youreally have to wear something underneath. the back is really sheer, too. but the designis so pretty, i really like it. this purse is the only thing i'm a littledisappointed in. i've used it only twice now and the handle popped apart and won't stickback together. i'm going to have to figure out a way to reattach it. the clasp for thelong band is pretty cheap, too, and on one end the clasp doesn't line up correctly soit doesn't stay on the bag. so because neither of the bands are really working i kind ofcan't use it right now. there are three different pieces here--a decoratedwhite shirt that fits really well, is well made, and i think the design is beautiful.the back is pretty see-through, though. the
skirt is a flowy high-low that i absolutelylove. the quality is perfectly nice, although a bit see-through again, and there are tonsof colors online. the waist band is black elastic and stretches very comfortably. iactually want to get it in more colors. the tights are normal quality tights. as for service ordering from the website--everythingwent really smoothly. i ordered a total of 23 items--two of them were out of stock--aswim suit and a pair of boots, so i couldn't get them. but had i also gotten those, itwould have been a total of $150 for everything, plus about $45 for shipping for this giantbox all the way from china, which is actually a really reasonable price. the cheapest shippingoption they had was fedex, and it took five
days, including the weekend, to get here fromchina, which was ridiculously fast. i ordered it on a thursday and it came on tuesday. iwas not expecting that, so that was really cool! everything was folded into plastic bags, whichis typically how they ship things to you in japan as well. out of the 21 things i endedup getting, two had a somewhat strange smell. this shirt had kind of a chemical smell thatis mostly gone now, so that's okay, and the purse i got had a strange fishy smell thati'm really curious about now, because about a year ago i ordered a jacket online fromjcpenney that smelled exactly the same, like fish. i sent it back and got a different one,and that one smelled like fish, too. and i
don't know why all of these things that arecoming from online smell like fish. maybe it's some sort of chemical they put on fauxleather? or maybe they just ship things with fish?? i don't know. i need to know wherethis fish smell is coming from now! i'm dying. it's killing me! but anyway, one last thing is that i didn'trealize this when i first started putting things in my cart, but if you order more thanone some items, you can get a $1 or $2 discount for each item you order. so the first twothings i ordered were that brown and blue shirt, in both of those colors, and they wereeach like $9.35, but when i put them in my basket, my basket was only like $15 and iwas like, "what happened?! why is it so cheap??"
and it was because i got almost $2 off pershirt because i bought more than one of them. so that was really awesome! that was a coolsurprise. altogether i'm really happy with things, and i would definitely recommend it!it was a lot of fun, and i hope you guys can find something super awesome on that website,too. i'll see you later! thanks for watching!
