a thumbprint wedding guest book hi, guys, i’m kristen and welcome to studioknit! i’m so excited. today is the diy weddingcollaboration with many of my favorite kin community channels. together, we are bringingyou some of our favorite diy projects that are perfect for wedding season.
Fall Wedding Bridal Party Colors, and i personally am recently engaged! thisis actually a project that i will be using in my very own upcoming wedding. it is a thumbprintwedding guest book. it’s a great alternative or addition to the traditional wedding guestbook. as newlyweds, it’s something that will remindyou of that special day. and most importantly,
everybody is involved in this project andcreating it with you, so it’s a really great reminder of all of the support and love thatyou received on your wedding day. so, at the end of my video, make sure to clickthe thumbnails and check out the rest of my kin community friends and their awesome weddingdiy projects. the materials for our thumbprint wedding guestbook are a canvas, acrylic paints in your wedding colors, paintbrushes, ink pads, andstencils. to begin, cover your entire canvas with paint.for my background, i’m using a lot of white paint with bits of yellow and some grey. paintingthe canvas, rather than just leaving it blank, gives your entire work and the tree you paintover it a more professional and painterly
look. in that same main color, paint the shape ofyour tree. and if you need to start over, just brush it into the background and startagain. once you have your tree shape the way you like, start painting your tree trunk.your color choice is totally optional! you can add the names or initials of the weddingcouple with stencils, along with their wedding date, too. on the big day, set up your canvas and askguests to add leaves to your wedding guest book using their very own thumbprints. youmay wish to assign a friend to help your guests. make sure to have wipes on hand so they canclean off their inky thumbs.
you may wish to have your guests sign theirleaf, too, with their signature. i find that a pencil will actually work best for thison the canvas. and make sure the ink is totally dry before they add their signature. i hope my video has inspired you to consideradding a thumbprint guest book to your next wedding. as a newly engaged bride-to-be myself, i ama big believer in managing our limited resources of time and money. this is a really inexpensiveproject to make ourselves. but, you know what? if you feel stressed for time, and would loveto have a thumbprint wedding guest book, you can always share this video with an artsymember of your wedding party. they can make
it for you. if you're new to my channel, this is a greattime to subscribe. i have many more inexpensive, fun, high-quality wedding diy projects comingup that i will be making for my very own wedding throughout this year! happy wedding season, everyone. bye!
