go to google.com/places to edit your existinglisting or to create a new one. select the appropriate category. donãt cheat!when you choose your business category, make sure itãs relevant to what you do. donãttry to say that you are a photographer, planner, cake shop and invitation designer. googlewill catch on and ban you from the results. use the same business name, phone number andaddress on all your listings and your websites. google look for identical business informationin order to sync your accounts and reviews. if you do this right, youãll go to page one.if not, youãre missing out on visibility. write a full description filled with yourtarget keyword phrases. make sure it makes sense for a real person.add photos and video.
the more media you have on your listing, themore attractive it is to visitors and the more visibility google will give you. if you optimize your google places listingwith your keyword phrases, this can often give your business page 1 visibility overnight. tactic #2 - create a new facebook businesspage. name your facebook page your keyword phrase,not your business name. so in our example, the page would be calledtampa photographer. optimize your facebook page about and descriptionwith your target keyword. go to facebook.com/username and make yourcustom url the same keyword phrase.
get at least 3 keyword anchor text backlinksto your page. iãve experimented with this, and it can getyour facebook page onto page 1 even if you only have a few likes and almost no activity!the key is to get those backlinks. tactic #3 - create a youtube video.(youtube is owned by google, and itãs literally the back door to page 1 of google.) create a video and say your keyword phrasein the first sentence, and again naturally in your script.name your video for your keyword phrase. use your keyword phrase in your youtube descriptionand tags. embed and publish the video on your websiteor blog.
